Honest take. There is no debate whether Belichick is first ballot HoF.

The big question this has raised is about the integrity of the process and more importantly people voting.

Do you think there will be repercussions, with some of these people being removed, as they clearly are not fit for the role?

The Pro football hall of fame is a clown organization. If the Nobel committee had denied it's prize to Einstein, that would have said more about the committee than about Einstein's shortcomings

Thank you, Mr. Van Noy. The greatest coach in NFL history didn't get into the Hall on the first ballot. Three other coaches have - Don Shula, Chuck Noll and Tom Landry (George Halas and Curly Lambeau were first ballot in the pre-NFL era). Great coaches one and all but not as great as Belichick. All the others coached before the salary-cap era, meaning that they could stockpile the best players in the game and keep them as long as they liked. Despite the roster churn the salary cap forces, Belichick still won more rings than any other coach in league history with 6. No other coach has 5. Only one has 4 (and that's not counting the two rings Belichick won with the Giants as an assistant, and architect of the great Giants defenses that led them to those titles). By not adding Belichick to their ballots, the HOF voters exposed themselves as unqualified and petty. I wonder how many of those voters watched the hopes and dreams of their favorite teams crushed by the Patriots over the years? That probably explains a lot.

Well said and so true. Seems there a lot of us who could benefit from exposure to a coach, mentor, or leader like Coach Belichick. Through sport I leaned more about how to succeed in life than any other arena. Thank you for posting this.

Very well put, thank you. I can’t imagine Coach B not taking this very personally. I know I would

Thank you, Kyle. BB deserved first ballot.

One theme that has been consistent throughout the years is how highly he his thought of by his players. Thank you for sharing what he means to you.

I'm sure he feels as deflated as the football he had the team use.
